Sweet Naomi

Amazing time with our special guest Naomi who’s a patient at Shriners Children’s Hospital in Galveston. Naomi and her dad had never fished in Texas before and she’d never been in a boat before either so it was exciting seeing how much she enjoyed it. She’d had a bad electrical accident that caused severe burns on 65% of her body and they had to amputate one of her legs. Despite this she doesn’t let it slow her down one bit and was a joy to have on the boat with her laughing and smiling all morning. She caught her first fish ever and even helped Roy land a beautiful 25” speckled trout which we released after a quick photo. Always a great time with our friends from Shriners and this one was no different! After we got off the water we closed things out having Galveston Yacht Basin grill cook a few of our catch for lunch!
