Bolivar - US Veterans and Police Officers

Had a great time staying in Bolivar at Jim West Lodge with our group of US Veterans and Police Officers. We boiled crawfish and hung out the night before and then unfortunately woke up to thunderstorms the following morning. After a 2hr weather delay things cleared up and we were able to get out and fish East Galveston Bay. The group of veterans fished on Captain Erik Renteria’s boat and caught several fish including some very nice reds. The officers went out with Roy and caught lots of speckled trout and released a beautiful 25” trout to fight another day. Great time by all and all the guests did great. Captain Erik, US Army Veteran Zach Vercher and US Marine Josh Baker did a great job helping as well. Looking forward to getting back over to Bolivar again soon.
